May 2021 Xbox and PlayStation ‘free’ games

Xbox Games with Gold add Tropico 4, Lego Batman, more, while PlayStation Plus adds Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last and Stranded Deep.

Every month, Microsoft adds new limited time access to several video games through its “Xbox Games with Gold” lineup while Sony PlayStation gamers receive new downloads through the PlayStation Plus program. For a monthly or annual charge, gamers can play new titles every month.

Here are the games available for May 2021:

Armello (May 1 to May 31): A grim fairytale board game comes to life, this swashbuckling adventure brings together the deep tactics of card games and the rich strategy of tabletop games, all combined into a character-building RPG.

Dungeons 3 (May 16 to June 15): Help the Dungeon Lord succeed in conquest in this dungeon building, real time strategy game.

Lego Batman (May 1 to May 15): He is vengeance… He is the night… He is Lego Batman. Build, drive, swing, and fight your way through Gotham as the caped crusader and his sidekick, Robin.

Tropico 4 (May 16 to May 31): As El Presidente, the ruler of your small island nation, it is your job to gain the support of the people, negotiate with foreign superpowers, and even deal with natural disasters that threaten your country.

Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last (PS5 only): Burn rubber, break rules and shred metal in this full-contact racer from the creator of the FlatOut series.

Battlefield V (PS4): Enter mankind’s greatest conflict with Battlefield V as the series goes back to its roots in a never-before-seen portrayal of World War 2.

Stranded Deep (PS4): Test your survival skills in this open world adventure. In the aftermath of a mysterious plane crash, you are stranded in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Alone, without any means to call for help, you must do what you can to survive.
