The fourth and final season of the animated series based upon the classic Castlevania video games has launched on Netflix.
Castlevania has helped solidify the notion that video game-related franchises and programming can succeed. The success of its inaugural four-episode season in July 2017 resulted in an immediately picked up second season, which was released in October of 2018.
The series follows the exploits of the Belmont family, a bloodline that has long waged a battle with the vampire Dracula.
Through the series’ first three seasons, Trevor Belmont (voiced by “The Hobbit” actor Richard Armitage) is joined in his fight by Dracula’s son, Alucard, and magic user Sypha Belnades.
If you haven’t seen the series, now is as good a time as any to pick it up and jump on Netflix to check it out. We won’t give away too many plot points (you can find those all over the Internet).
The Castlevania series was available on the popular streaming service early on Thursday, May 13.
