If you’ve been waiting and waiting for more information on the upcoming second season of the critically acclaimed Netflx series based on the video game “The Witcher,” you don’t have to wait much longer.
The popular streaming service on Monday announced “Geeked Week,” which it bills as a celebration of both the shows and the communities that have grown around them.
“The first-ever Geeked Week runs June 7-11, giving fans a wide array of exclusive news, new trailers, live art, drop-ins from your favorite stars and much more about all your favorite Netflix series and films,” a blog post at GeekedWeek.com read. “The five-day event is completely virtual and completely free so you can get in on the action whenever you want from wherever you are in the world.”
A poster for the event features mentions of The Witcher, the upcoming Resident Evil series and the brand new video game-based series The Cuphead Show. The blog post also mentions its popular Castlevania series, which recently ended its run after four seasons.
The Cuphead Show was announced about two years ago. It will follow the adventures of the titular character and his brother Mugman. The series made its debut at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival last summer.
The Witcher heads into its second season following the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. No details have been released about when it will come to Netflix so perhaps this will happen at “Geeked Week.”
As for Castlevania, a series that Netflix says is not a spin off will release at some point.
Two Resident Evil-related series are offered on Netflix, with one already having an animated trailer. It’s unclear whether the second will be another animated series or live action.
